To better understand how COVID-19 and its economic implications are affecting the inspection industry, Interactive Aerial surveyed both asset owners and inspection service companies about their 2020 Inspection schedules.
Key insights found among surveyed respondents include:
- Inspections delayed, not cancelled – Nearly half of respondents delayed inspections to the Fall.
- Robotics to play a key role – 79% surveyed said robotics will replace traditional inspection methods.
- Reductions to maintain social distance – One robotic operator vs. dozens to build scaffolding.
